new point of view

Hi. It's me. Audrie. My mom said I'm getting to be such a big girl that I could do my very own blog entry! So, I thought I'd tell you a little about my weekend so far. First, on Friday morning, my Grandma Lowery came and played with me because my mommy said she had to go sing at a church for one her friends who went to see Jesus. I was on my best behavior for Grandma because I want to go to her house again soon. (Cuz Grandpa feeds me ice cream when mommy's not looking!)

Then Friday night a whole bunch of friends from my daddy's work came over for a cookout on the deck. They were really loud and funny. And they kept squeezing my legs and telling me how fat I was getting. I bet they wouldn't like it if I did that to them...

I tried really hard to stay awake and play with everyone as long as I could. But I drifted off to sleep while they all got to stay up late enjoying the beautiful night. I can't wait until I can manage to stay awake for more than two hours at a time!

And they were playing some crazy game where you you try to throw round metal circles into a box and then jump around and get real excited. It's amazing how easily adults are amused...

This morning my daddy left super early to drive to Little Rock to compete in the state championship with his tennis team. He's kind of a big deal. I missed him, but mommy and I had a fun day- just the two of us. We slept in, made pancakes, went for a jog, stopped by Grandma Lowery's house, went shopping, got to meet Gloria's mommy, and then visited with some of our neighbors while we waited for the ice cream truck to drive by. It was a great day. But I missed daddy.

Maybe someday he'll be cheering me on in my own tennis tournament...!
