I'm pretty sure that Jamie's mom, Donna, thinks that we had Audrie just for her. Audrie is "her baby". But we love it! When Jamie and I first started looking for the best daycare options for Audrie we were a little overwhelmed with deciding where our baby girl would spend her days (and all our money... daycare is expensive!). Then Donna talked to us about the possibility of her taking care of Audrie during the week. Jamie's dad passed away 11 years ago and Donna just retired, so her schedule was wide open for spending all day spoiling her first grandbaby. Naturally we were really excited about having a "live-in nanny", but had concerns, too. But Donna is not your stereotypical mother-in-law. She and I get along so wonderfully- she is very laid back and so easy to talk to. (And she raised Jamie to be a pretty amazing guy.) So now she drives to our house each week to take care of Audrie Monday through Friday and the first week has been truly awesome! I still have to pinch myself to make sure it's true... she cooks and cleans and loves on Audrie all day. We are all going to be spoiled so fast.
