cheap fun

The other night we decided last minute to get Audrie out of the house for a few hours and went to see what was happening at the Pinnacle Mall. Did you know there is a CAROUSEL in the food court? (I ADORE carousels!). And now Audrie does too!

And we thought we'd put her immune system to test and let her play in the kiddie play land at the mall (aka Cootie-ville).

She loved it of course!

What torture... watching through the "prison bars" as her daddy eats an ice cream cone...

Then we stopped in the store Melodies Choices and I kind of forget how much I LOVE that store. So many cool things for babies and mommas! Audrie had fun with the train set and tried to bat her eyes at daddy to buy her one...

Then we let her "shop" for a birthday present for Ben. She carried around this doll for awhile that she picked out for him, but then (lucky for him) at the last minute she decided on a cute fuzzy squirrel.

And actually I picked out a present for Ben that I really loved and I want to get some for Audrie, too (it was the last set in the store). But it's these 8 large square stackable blocks, but each square has a xylophone bar on it (Do, Re, Mi...) and also each block is covered with cool drawings of instruments and composers and musical stuff. And it comes with a little song book... ok really I just want a set for myself, but I can pretend it's for Audrie, right??

Between carousel rides and children's blocks... it doesn't take much to amuse me!
