check out these cans

So Jamie decided this weekend that we were going to start canning. Like, putting vegetables into glass jars so we can eat them in a year. Sounds fun to me. So we started with pickles. Here is the recipe he used. He did most of the work, I was just the assistant canner.
I chopped a few million cucumbers.
He boiled (you have to say it "bult") up an awesome looking brine that was straight out of Harry Potter.

Stuffed the jars full of all kind of goodness...
And voila! Pickles you all will be getting for Christmas! :)
I think next we're doing dilly beans. Hang on to your excitement!
