the cuter the apron the better the meal

Earlier this year my mom made me an apron (which I love!) and at the same time she also made this crazy cute baby apron for Audrie. And since Audrie did so good the other day making cookies I thought I'd let her test out her little apron and help me make dinner.

Audrie was actually really cute about stirring the ingredients when I would tell her to and she kept using the measuring cup and spice jars to pretend to pour things in.
Together we made a pretty tasty meatloaf. And she seemed to be a natural in the kitchen! Look out, Paula Deen...
Here is what we made in case you're in the mood to try a new meatloaf recipe that is super easy:

STUFFED MEATLOAF

2 lbs. ground beef or turkey
Stove Top stuffing mix
1/2 c. finely chopped green pepper
1/2 c. celery chopped
1 med. onion chopped
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. grated carrots optional
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 c. bread crumbs
Prepare Stove Top stuffing according to box directions; set aside. Crumble ground beef in large mixing bowl; add all other ingredients except stuffing. Mix well using hands.
Place on sheet of foil big enough to wrap meatloaf for baking. Flatten meat mixture out; add stuffing mix on top. Using edge of foil nearest you, begin to roll meat mixture and press together all edges. Now completely wrap loaf with foil. Place in baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 2 hours. Remove from oven; let stand 5 minutes before serving.
