Audrie came squealing into our bedroom at 7:30 this morning, "MOMMY!!!! DID YOU SEE OUTSIDE?!!! LET'S GO PLAY IN THE SNOW!!!!!!". I tried to roll over and give her some excuses, but then Jamie reminded me of that song from the new Disney movie, Frozen, where the adorable little girl sings "do you wanna build a snowman?" and no one will play with her. Heartbreaking little song.
So I got up and spent 15 minutes getting us all bundled up. Jamie left for work. So it was just me and the girls outside at 7:45am. We managed to stay outside for about 20 minutes before their faces were freezing enough to come back in. While we were out there I did try to build a snowman, but the snow is really powdery so I didn't have the patience for it. I told them we would try again when daddy gets home.
When we got back in I let Audrie make her own cup of cocoa and she got more on the table than in her cup, but she didn't care. Miss independent. :)
We actually went back outside again about an hour later when we saw our neighbors out there. But I'm hoping now we can stay inside, build a fire, and cuddle until Jamie gets home and he can take over the snow playtime!
