12 month stats
I took Audrie to the doctor Monday for her 12 month check up and shots (ugh!). She now weighs 20 lbs 13 oz (50th percentile) and is 31 inches long (95th percentile). She still only has those two bottom front teeth that she has had for months and no immediate signs of any new teeth. We have her on straight whole milk now (no more formula) and just has one bottle in the morning but drinks milk from the sippy cup the rest of the day. She eats anything and everything so we don't really do baby food anymore... maybe just a few mashed peas and sweet potatoes every now and then. She just has a few words that she babbles more than others- dada, mama, bye bye, hi, and baby. But it's cute how she understands us more clearly now... we can ask her to bring us a book to read her and she will. Or if we tell her it's time for a bath she goes to the tub (very excitedly) and she understands several other sentences we say to her. But MY favorite new thing is... she is starting to do the motions to kid's songs we sing her (yes, Jamie sings to her too)! She really is picking up new little "skills" each week that we are just SURE make her an instant genius. Jamie's mother is still taking care of Audrie during the day and they both adore each other. We are so lucky to have her! Anyways, that's the latest resume update on our sweet lil cupcake.
