We were on the same flight as a group of my family members and it was both Audrie and my nephew Stone's first time on a plane... so we took their photo. Audrie loves Stone!
We were a little nervous about how Audrie would do on the flight, but we shouldn't have been. She was wonderful.
She played with toys and books. Ate snacks we packed, watch some Baby Einstein and was pretty fascinated with everything.
The flight attendants and other travelers were very complimentary of how well she did!
She slept great in the hotel crib, except every time she moved (which I now know is ALOT) her bed squeaked like crazy.

And she got to swim in the hotel pool with Jakey and Emma.
We had to get her a bathing suit that fit. Check out this adorable Little Mermaid suit... doesn't she look like such a big girl?
She LOVES being in water!
And she loves her daddy!
Couple shots of her eating in the hotel room... no high chair so we added a few mashed bananas to the decor!
On Saturday was the big party! We were all so excited to surprise Grandpa.
He thought that his family in the area was just having a little birthday luncheon for him... but then slowly we all started coming in the door. He was so overjoyed and surprised. He did cry. It was really sweet.

There were SO many people there. I didn't get alot of photos of all the people, but I know Kim took a lot and will be sharing those soon.
Grandpa opened a lot of presents and cards...
I got him a very special coffee mug...!He blew out his candles and said how much he loved that we were there but only wished Grandma could have been there too.
It was an awesome time and we stayed all day, but then Audrie was partied out...
The next morning we bundled Audrie up (it was COLD in Michigan!) and headed back to the airport.
