We had such a blast in Kansas City this weekend! We did the usual art museum, cheesecake factory, and lots of shopping, but we also spent a beautiful day at the Kansas City Zoo. It was a wonderful weekend away and even if it was only a couple days- it was sort of our first vacation as a family. Here are a few million pictures that I took...

Jamie and Audrie on the steps of the art museum...

This was Jamie's first trip to the art museum and he was pretty impressed.

I was afraid some of these paintings would make Audrie hungry...

Here I am next to the famous Monet painting, Water Lilies.

This is a sculpture called "soft saxophone".

Audrie did great in her carrier and seemed to love all the lights and windows in the museum.

In the
contemporary addition, there were these cool sculptures of people that looked SO life-like!

My favorite was the photography section...

and there was a special exhibit of Annie
Leibovitz photos that was amazing.

After all that walking around the
museum, shopping and yummy cheesecake we crashed at the hotel!

The weather was beautiful at the zoo!

Here I am trying to put on a brave face around all the birds! (I have a bird-phobia.)

For some reason Jamie was so excited about seeing the kangaroos. He liked this one in the middle that was totally kicked back in the sun.
