So Jamie is turning 30 tomorrow and he's been bummed about it for at least a year. So back in November I got this birthday idea that I had NO clue if I could even make it happen. I emailed some of his guy friends to see if they wanted to go on a surprise ski trip for Jamie's 30
th birthday weekend. A few of them couldn't make it but enough said they were in, so we went for it! So today when Jamie got home from work he walked in the door to find a whole group of his friends saying "surprise you're going
skiing!"...
He really was totally shocked and a little dazed at first. Here he is studying his airline ticket in confusion...
Then it all sunk in when he realized he was leaving in 30 minutes to go
skiing in Breckenridge!
The boys all piled in the car and headed out!
Rhonald, Jim, Jamie, Trent and Brandon...
There are a few more crazy details to the whole story- cancelled flights, missed bible study presentations, tennis tournaments, and a few white lies... but the bottom line is that Jamie will be turning 30 tomorrow on the black diamond slopes of the Rocky Mountains. Happy Birthday, babe!! I love you.
