audrie's first haircut

For awhile I have been trying to decide what to do with Audrie's hair. I love her long wild blond curly mess and really didn't want to cut it, but it just needed a little shaping help. So I finally made her an appointment and we took her in for her first hair cut today! We were a little nervous about how it was going to go down... if she would actually sit and let someone cut her hair! But she was an ANGEL. She sat there so calmly and patiently the entire time. The stylist commented several times on how wonderful Audrie was (and cute, of course!). It was a huge success. I just had them shorten the back a little to be more even with the rest of her hair and then added a few layers. Her hair doesn't look drastically different, but I love it. I'll try to get a good "after" photo tomorrow (she was pretty tired after a big day and crashed early).

But "first haircut" was the only thing still empty in her baby book. Does this mean she's not a BABY anymore? *sniff*

Jamie actually managed to get a few moments on video last night of Audrie singing Rock a Bye Baby. I think Baby Annie will love having her big sister sing to her! (PS- I LOVE how Audrie is holding the music here like she is reading it! ha!)

audrie sings jesus loves me

Audrie is super tough to catch on the video camera because she just wants to "see" what's on the screen every time we get it out. But I did manage to capture some audio (on my phone) of her singing tonight. She really does sing ALL day long and so I'm glad to be able to share a little sample of one of her favorite songs... (and since I didn't have any video with it- I just stuck some photos along with her audio here so you'd have something to look at while she sings). Enjoy!

sprucing up the blog

I know most of you are probably like me and use bloglines or some other feeder to update on your blogs. So I rarely look at anyones actual blog page. So in case you didn't notice... from time to time I do change the look and header of our blog. Hope you like this new layout! Thanks to Kim we have a new "three of us" photo on the blog header and I can't wait to share all the maternity photos she did for us recently!!

double the fun

Last weekend I also did another photo shoot for a teacher in my school who has twin girls that are turning one! They were so much fun. Of course, it's crazy hard to get one baby to look at the camera- let alone TWO, but I managed to get a couple cute photos. Here are a couple of my favorites from their shoot.

Their mom gave them birthday cakes to smash up and eat. They thought it was the best thing ever!

I think I always used to imagine that having twins would be so wonderful, but the more I'm around these momma's chasing two babies at the same time... the more I'm thankful for ONE baby at a time! :)

But it was a joy to do these photos for my friend! Cute little girls!

That's our week in a nutshell (well minus a few million other things) but we're doing great... busy, happy and counting down to when we get to meet baby Annie!

Last weekend my friend Shannon asked me to snap a few photos of their adorable family of three. The best part was she had me hike out to a really cool waterfall... except it was quite the HIKE and at 35 weeks pregnant I was breathing pretty embarrassingly hard by the time we got there. But it was a beautiful waterfall!

(Oh and after the first waterfall we hike about a mile farther to the second one... hello?! Big belly here!)

But I survived and here are a couple of my favorite shots from the afternoon...

I have been having fun doing several photo shoots lately! This weekend Jamie's cousin, Tyler, came down so I could shoot some senior pictures for him. It was my first attempt at senior photos but Tyler was so laid back and paitent that I thought it went really well!
