deck the halls

The weekend after Thanksgiving we decorated the house for Christmas and Audrie actually got to help this year, so that was fun!

She only broke one ornament. Not too bad for a two year old! :)
I really love decorating for Christmas!
We get a new ornament every year and this is the one we got this year because it's rosy cheeks and sweet face reminds us of baby Annie and her first Christmas with us this year.
I liked being able to add one more stocking to the hearth.

And we took the girls to see Santa at the Promenade Mall. Audrie did awesome! She walked right up and sat in his lap. She told him what she wanted for Christmas: "baby dolls, blue candy, toys and a reindeer".
Santa asked Audrie what her little sister wanted for Christmas and Audrie said, "Baby Annie just wants milk."!
It's so cute how Audrie really believes in Santa now and is excited about Christmas. She talks a lot about Baby Jesus' birthday and when we unwrapped the nativity set we sang happy birthday to Jesus. Audrie is also getting pretty good at belting out Joy to the World. I'm not sure how much she is truly comprehending but it is so fun to celebrate this holiday with her! (And apparently Annie will be happy with a warm bottle of milk in her stocking...!)
