on our own

Our moms left today and it was sad to see them go. We're on our own now! Time to take a test run at real life. But we're excited to see what it's like just being the four of us in this big city.

Before Donna and Diana left we made sure they got a good taste of NYC. This weekend I took them into Times Square.

Both moms didn't seem too phased by the hustle and bustle of the touristy madness. We even saw the infamous Naked Cowboy (we tried to convince Donna to get her photo with him).

I stood in line at TKTS to get show tickets (we saw 'Baby It's You" and loved it).

While I was in line the moms sat and people watched (my mom made 'friends' with a homeless guy).

After the show that night we got into a cab to head home and a few blocks into the ride... our cab wrecked! It's a long story, but pretty funny so I'll fill you in on that one later.

Donna and Diana actually took off on Sunday all by themselves into the city. They took the subway down to Staten Island to see the Statue of Liberty and had a great time exploring. I was so proud of them for venturing out on their own!

They were such a huge help with moving in and helping Audrie and Annie transition. They also spent a lot of time in the park playing with the girls. (And Donna tried to sit in the kiddie swing....)

We will miss our mommas that's for sure! We hope they will be back SOON to visit us.
